Johanna
This trip to Budapest was one of the coolest things I‘ve ever done. All the girls were so nice and we had so much fun. This was my first festival and it was even better than I could have ever imagined. I would absolutely do it again!

Angelina
Best experience of my life. I met so many amazing people and made really good friends!! It was so well organized and easy going.

Carly
I didn’t have many expectations of how the trip would go but they were exceeded a hundred times over! I loved meeting women from all over with the same common goal of seeing the world and experiencing new adventures.

Aurora
I’ll admit I was a bit hesitant at first, since it was my first solo trip. But I’m really glad I trusted my gut and decided to join. I’m heading home with unforgettable memories and wonderful people I’ll carry with me for a long time.

Angelique
This trip was more than I could have asked for. The girls were full of laughter and positive energy! Everything was planned out which made it easy to just relax and enjoy the trip without the pressure. I can’t wait to do another trip!

Isla
I was a little nervous about signing up to this trip but it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I had the most incredible time with the loveliest group of girls and hope to see them all again soon at our next rave!

Kiersten
Best decision I made in 2025. After doing this trip I can’t imagine a better way to experience rave culture as a solo traveler!

Limited private upgrades are available with special booking conditions. To learn more, please reach out to us and we'll share options!
Absolutely! The vast majority of our travelers come solo and leave with lifelong friends. This is a girls-only trip with like-minded people who love to rave, explore, and have a good time. Our trip leader will make sure everyone feels welcome from day one.
We're all about good energy, supporting each other, and making memories. Whether you want to dance all night or take it easy some nights, there's space for everyone. Most of our attendees are in their 20s and 30s, but you're welcome at any age as long as you fit the vibe. While the trip is conducted in English, we have attendees from around the world... 30 countries and counting!
Yes, you must be 18+ to join this trip. The majority of our trip participants are in their 20s and 30s.
Our trips are always at your own pace! You don't have to drink or party hard to have an amazing time. We have plenty of daytime activities, beach time, and chill moments built into the itinerary. It's likely you'll find fellow trip attendees on your same wavelength who want to explore, relax, and enjoy Budapest without going all out every night.
We'll be staying in a brand new hostel from one of the most loved hostel chains in Europe, located right in the heart of Budapest. The rooms are super nice: beds have privacy curtains, there are lockers for your valuables, and the social and chill-out areas are amazing. You'll be in a room with only three fellow trip attendees, so you'll have your people around you from the moment you arrive. Full details shared with confirmed bookings.
We'll have a form to let us know of any dietary requirements after booking and we'll do our best to accommodate and provide recommendations. Many restaurants and cafes in Budapest have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
Bring your best rave outfits, comfortable shoes for dancing, a swimsuit, sunscreen, a light jacket or pashmina for cold evenings, and anything you need to feel your best. We'll send a detailed packing list in the group chat before the trip.
The itinerary is a guide, not a rulebook! It's subject to change based on weather, group preferences, and how everyone's feeling. You're always welcome to do your own thing - whether that's skipping an activity to sleep in, exploring solo, or joining a smaller group for something different. We're here to facilitate an amazing trip, not micromanage your vacation.
There is a $350 non-refundable deposit.
Cancel more than 60 days before the trip → full refund minus the $350 deposit.
Cancel between 45 and 60 days before the trip → 50% refund of your remaining balance.
Cancel less than 45 days before the trip → non-refundable, unless you find a replacement to fill your spot.
All refunds are minus a small service fee of approximately 3% to account for payment processing costs. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment.
Our website prices are listed in US Dollars, but you're welcome to pay via bank transfer or Revolut in EUR or GBP and save on card fees. You can view payment instructions on the booking page, or reach out to us directly for details.
Once you book, we'll reach out to you via WhatsApp to send out pre-arrival information - we're also here if you need help booking your flights! Three weeks prior to the trip date, you'll be added to our group chat where we'll share updates, answer questions, and start getting to know each other before the trip. The Girls Who Rave team is available for support throughout the planning process.
Arrive Monday, August 10th and aim to be checked in by early evening as our first activity kicks off around 6 or 7 PM. Depart Sunday, August 16th. Budapest Airport (BUD) is about 30 minutes from the city center on the 100E bus. Get in touch if you need help planning your route.
If you prefer door-to-door, Bolt is the best ride share app to use in Hungary. We're happy to help you figure out the best route from wherever you're flying from, just reach out beforehand and we'll sort it out together.
Definitely. Budapest rewards the extra time and there's a lot of Central Europe within easy reach. Vienna, Prague, and Bratislava are all under three hours by train, each completely different and all worth a few days. The group chat goes live a month before the trip so you can coordinate with fellow attendees who might want to extend together. We're happy to help with recommendations and logistics for anything outside the August 10 to 16 dates.

What Inspired This Trip?
Why you should choose Sziget Festival!
Sziget was our first festival trip, and Budapest has been our favorite city to bring travelers to ever since. It has a bit of everything: enough history and architecture to fill a week of sightseeing, thermal baths that are genuinely unlike anywhere else, a ruin bar scene that doesn't make sense until you're inside one, and Sziget itself: one of the best festivals you can experience in Europe. We know this city, we know this festival, and we've been wanting to come back with you ever since that first trip. Round 2 let's go!
We'll arrive throughout the day and check into our hostel in the city center. Once everyone's settled, we kick things off on the Danube with a sunset unlimited prosecco cruise (with other drinks too if prosecco isn't your cup of tea). The Parliament and Buda Castle from the water is genuinely one of the best views in Europe, and a pretty perfect way to start the week.
Dinner will be before or after, depending on timing, and we'll end up in the ruin bars. If you haven't been before, they're bars built inside abandoned courtyards and crumbling buildings, and one of the most famous things in Budapest. Completely unlike anything else, and a good place to get to know everyone over a drink before the week kicks off. For anyone who wants to keep the night going, there's clubs nearby as well!
A chill morning to sleep in and get your bearings. We'll get ready, take some photos, and head to Óbuda Island early. Yes, you heard that right: Sziget takes place on an island!
First stop is picking up wristbands, then we have the rest of the day to properly explore before it gets too busy. Sziget is so much more than a music festival. There are multiple stages, immersive art installations, live performances, activities, workshops, and entire areas of the island that most people never find because they arrive too late. Going in early gives you the chance to actually see it all. Then as the sun goes down and the crowds arrive, you'll already know exactly where you want to be.
Lineup highlights: Sombr, Zara Larsson, Indira Paganotto, Sara Landry, Trym, Vintage Culture
After we wake up, we'll cross the river into Buda in the afternoon. The two sides of the city feel completely different. Pest is flat, bustling, and urban; Buda is hilly, quieter, and full of history. We'll climb up to Fisherman's Bastion for the views over the city and the Danube, wander through Matthias Church, and make our way through the Castle District at whatever pace suits the group. Plenty of stops for coffee and photos along the way. Grab lunch somewhere before we head back to get ready for day two.
Back for Sziget in the evening. You'll know the layout by now and have your favorite stages picked out.
Lineup highlights: Twenty One Pilots, Argy, Natasha Bedingfield, Whomadewho, ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U, Charlie Sparks
We'll start our day at Palatinus Strand: one of our favorite spots in Budapest and honestly the best way to spend a sunny summer day. It's a huge open-air complex on Margaret Island with wave pools, crazy fun water slides, thermal pools, and an indoor spa area for when you want to slow down. There's a beach bar with delicious drinks and good vibes, and the whole complex sits inside Margaret Island's park so between pools you can wander through trees, find a sun lounger on the grass, and just breathe for a bit. A perfect way to spend an afternoon when you're halfway through a festival week.
We'll return to Sziget Festival for day 3 in the late afternoon or evening!
Lineup highlights: Florence + The Machine, Lewis Capaldi, Dom Dolla, Boys Noize, Dixon, Joris Voorn, ANNA, Richie Hawtin, Pan-Pot, DJ Fuckoff
Today, we explore two of Budapest's most distinct neighborhoods. We'll start in District V, the grand elegant heart of the city, home to St. Stephen's Basilica and the iconic riverside Parliament building. Then we make our way to District VII, the Jewish Quarter, for a completely different energy: independent vintage and thrift shops, alternative cafés, street art, and the kind of neighborhood that rewards wandering without a plan. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind outfit for the festival, this is where you'll find it.
Sziget Day 4 in the evening. Four nights in, this one tends to be a big night as many locals attend on the weekend!
Lineup highlights: BUNT, Peggy Gou, Bring Me The Horizon, Anfisa Leytago, Hector Oaks
We'll head to City Park for our group picnic, which is always a highlight of the trip. Budapest's most beloved green space sits just behind Heroes' Square and it's the kind of place locals actually use rather than just tourists passing through. We'll set up with drinks, snacks, and good energy and make a proper afternoon of it before the final night begins.
Then Sziget Day 5. The closing night has a specific energy to it. Everyone knows it's the last one, and it always ends up being the best night of the week. Save something for this.
Lineup highlights: Dimension, Funk Tribu, Sub Focus, Anetha, Patrick Mason, Flux Pavilion, Hamdi, Zimmer90
Sadly, all good things must come to an end. We'll reflect over a week full of memories over brunch after check out. Departures are throughout the day so there's no rush to disappear. Soak up the last few hours in one of the best cities in Europe.
If you want to extend your trip, Budapest rewards the extra time. The city has a way of revealing new things the longer you stay, and there's a lot of Central Europe within easy reach.

Meet Sanne
Your Trip Leader (a Girls Who Rave OG!)
Sanne was one of our earliest trip attendees, and her warm, outgoing energy made her an obvious choice when it came time to bring on our first team member. Originally from the Netherlands and deeply embedded in the festival and rave scene, she knows this world inside out. Outside of Girls Who Rave, she's a nail artist and a hair, makeup and fashion enthusiast, so she's your girl for getting festival-ready. She also loves solo travel and has done plenty of it herself, so she gets exactly what it feels like to show up somewhere new not knowing anyone. You're in good hands!
